Assisting Migrants Receive Their 407 Training Visa
Copson Migration is a registered migration agent located in Adelaide who help migrants receive their employer sponsored 407 Training visa.
The subclass 407 Training Visa allows you to take part in workplace -based occupational training to improve your skills, tertiary study, expertise or professional development.
You can stay up to 2 years, include you family in the visa but must be sponsored by a Temporary Activities Sponsor, and have functional English.
There are 3 types of training visas
- Occupational training required for registration - where workplace-based training is mandatory for registration, membership or licensing.
- Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation – where tailored training is provided to meet specific needs of the nominated person, the nominated person has at least 12 months previous experience in the past 2 years in this occupation AND is in a skilled occupation. - Occupational training for capacity building overseas – where the nominee gains valuable training or undertakes research in Australia for up to 6 months and Government supported.
Temporary Activities Sponsor
An application is made to the Department of Home Affairs to become a sponsor by the organisation. Approval can be up to 5 years.
The Sponsor is required to ensure the visa holder only performs the activity for which the visa was granted.
If you want to engage a visa holder for a different job, program or activity, you must submit a new visa application.
Pathway to Other Visas
If an employee has been working in the occupation listed in the first and second of the 3 types of training visas listed above there may be options to move onto other visas.
